Crispy and sweet, these cinnamon-coated samosa sticks are a perfect treat to enjoy with coffee or tea. Fried to golden perfection and drizzled with syrup and pistachios, they’re simply irresistible!

Ingredients
- 1 pack of samosa dough sheets (500g)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cinnamon powder
- 3 cups of Arabic Simple Syrup
- 1/4 cup ground pistachio
- Wooden grilling sticks or chopsticks for rolling
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Directions
Whisk together flour and water to form a thick paste and set aside.
Next, cut samosa dough in half and cover one half with a damp towel.
Take a single samosa sheet and sprinkle it with cinnamon powder.
Next use the wooden grilling stick to shape it into a cylinder. I use a salt shaker for the cinnamon to help get an even distribution.
Seal the open side of the sheet with the flour and water mixture to seal it.
Repeat until you have enough samoosa sticks formed.
Fry the sticks in hot oil until golden.
Next, dip the cinnamon sticks in Arabic Simple Syrup until they are fully coated, then transfer to a serving dish. (Full Recipe for Arabic Simple Syrup is available in my cookbook From My Modern Kitchen - Click Here to Buy)
Arrange on a serving dish and garnish with crushed pistachios.
Serve with Arabic coffee or tea. Bil Afya!

Chef's Tips:
- Freezing Tip:You can freeze the uncooked samosa sticks by placing them on a tray lined with wax paper. Once frozen, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container. They will stay fresh for up to 3 months. Fry directly from frozen when ready to serve.
- Rolling Tip:To make the rolling process easier, slightly warm the samosa dough before cutting and rolling it around the sticks. This will prevent cracks and make it easier to shape.
